'InterCulture
Korea' is a Membership club for Korean citizens and foreigners
living in Korea (ROK). IC Korea's cross-cultural exchange and
network foster a closer contact between foreign expatriates
and Koreans. It also facilitates cross-cultural understanding
and deeper appreciation of cultural differences.
IC
Korea offers a unique first-hand experience and an enriching
insight into Korea's modern society and ancient culture, while
it at the same time provides a venue to cultivate special interests
and hobbies.
IC
Korea links its members by mediating person-to-person and/or
family-to-family relationships. The matching process is based
on a variety of interests, education and profession (if so requested),
as well as language fluency. 'IC Korea' provides an excellent
venue for cross-cultural dialogues and friendships.
As
a foreign member of IC Korea you may: ¢º feel

contacts between Korean and foreign members of IC Korea.

cross-cultural links by person-to-person, and family-to-family

contacts to Korean members with mutual hobbies and interests,
and with mutual education and profession if so desired.
¢º Individual introduction to another IC Korea member in IC
Korea's office. ¢º Venues to cultivate several hobbies and
interests at the same time. ¢º Several contacts to other
IC Korea members for each hobby and interest. ¢º Follow-up
of the two members linked by IC Korea sharing a mutual hobby
or interest, for up to two months after IC Korea's introduction
of the members to each other. ¢º Sub groups within the same
field of interests, if needed. ¢º Quarterly meetings for
major sub groups, if any. ¢º Annual membership meeting

attend some of the special family traditions of a Korean life

birthday, veneration of ancestors, etc. ¢º Excursions to
temples, palaces, gardens, museums, galleries, flea markets,
and other places of interests, - and sightseeing in Korea with
Korean IC Korea members. ¢º Experiencing other Korean cultural
traditions, like ceremonies of the Chosun dynasty court, and
different art performances by the so-called 'Living Cultural
Treasure', etc. ¢º Learning about new places and special
events, before they take place. ¢º Newcomers, Help to settle
in Seoul, to shop, to find your way, to find daily necessities
and major venues for information, etc.
IC Korea is
linked with "The Korea Herald', 'Korea National Tourism
Organization' as well as with 'InterNexus', a global cross-cultural
education network with 250 centres around the world.
'InterCulture Korea' is also affiliated
with SIWA (Seoul International Women's Association').
Annual Membership fee is 30,000 KRW for
families covering expenses to logistics, office location, manpower,
etc. 'IC Korea's future activities plan to include relocation
services for newcomers, as well as group tours and cultural
lectures.
'InterCulture Korea's' members may also
benefit from a variety of optional services like baby-sitting,
home stay, private lessons (f.i. music, sports and art), etc.
